At an Infrastructure and Transport Minister’s Meeting, ministers agreed to changes to heavy vehicle charges
Mr Birrell says it will hit consumers and transport companies alike.

Council appoints new protectors of region’s heritage

Four community representatives have been appointed by Council to the committee protecting the region’s heritage.
The new members were elected at the February council meeting and will serve the remainder of the current two-year term
Council adopted an amended terms of reference, which reflects the growth of the committee’s capacity to advise council

Sod turned to launch construction of Munarra centre

The first sod has been turned on the $30 million Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence in Shepparton.
It will foster social and economic prosperity in the region as the home of the Academy of Sport, Health and Education.
It is expected to open in early 2024.
