Mick Simpson’s Walk for Dementia

On Sunday February 12, Mick Simpson held the fourth annual dementia awareness walk at Shepparton’s Victoria Park Lake.
Politicians Peter Walsh, Wendy Lovell, Kim O’Keeffe and Sam Birrell were in attendance to help further the campaign.
Funds raised from the campaign are split between the Kyabram and District Dementia Group and dementia research.

Bowls Premier League returns to Moama

Monday marks the beginning of BPL 17 at Moama Bowling Club.
The tournament will be held from February 20-24.
Teams will compete against each other from Monday to Thursday with the top five ranked squads playing finals on Friday

Murphy helps Aussies gain advantage in second Test

In the second Test match for Australia, Moama’s Todd Murphy retained his spot for the second match of the series.
Murphy followed up his barnstorming Test cricket debut by adding two wickets to his career haul.
Australia was well-placed heading into day three with Murphy finishing the innings with figures of 2-53 off 18 overs.
