Dan Murphy’s Echuca tops nationwide fundraising effort

Dan Murphy’s Echuca raised the most funds out of any ‘Dan’s’ store across Australia for mental health and wellbeing.
They raised more than $4000 for GIVIT, a charity that arranges for items and funds to be passed on to people in need.
“We were proud enough to be number one. That’s how much the community chipped in and helped.”

Ancient trades alive and well in Port of Echuca

During the school holidays, four volunteers are giving live demonstrations of ancient crafts in the Port of Echuca.
Jenni Croft is a leather worker and was eager to share her specialist knowledge of making products with animal hides.
Fellow volunteer Rob Blamey works with wood.

Strong EMCC performances at road national championships

Echuca Moama Cycling Club members Lenny and George Griffiths represented Victoria in the AusCycling Junior Nationals.
Against the best juniors from Australia, the brothers raced in a time trial, road race and criterium.
George rolled across the line in 18th place in the final, ensuring a top 20 in each of his three races.
