Driver in Strathmerton multiple fatality enters plea in court

Christopher Joannidis, 29, charged over a fatal crash at Strathmerton in April, pleaded not guilty in court.
The fatal crash killed five – a Cobram woman and four international workers.
His bail was continued, and he will next face court in December.

Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell was host to executives representing Australia’s biggest breweries on Tuesday.
The industry executives visited a Dookie barley farm and had a meal at Shepparton Brewery.
Mr Birrell said the huge lift in the craft brewing industry created many jobs and boosted economic activity.
