Nationals leader Walsh claims duck hunting ban is political

Walsh said the likely ban of duck hunting in Victoria as the state government’s betrayal of the hunting community.
He said the decision was evidence that Premier Daniel Andrews would stop at nothing to secure Greens preference deals.
“There is no logical reason to end duck hunting. Duck hunting is sustainable.”

Shepparton among sites for new police tasers

Shepparton will receive new tasers that activate an officer’s body-worn camera when drawn.
The tasers will be rolled out to frontline police from November.
Victoria Police will establish special training venues to teach officers how to safely handle a taser.

‘Mudcrab’ breaks world record, local pinches himself

Shepparton-born Travis Lia was part of a team of engineers that broke two world records on Saturday, July 29.
The team built an electric car to drive underwater across Darwin Harbour - nearly 8km and at depths of 32m.
It was a 12-hour battle to get the ‘Mudcrab’ across the harbour, with many challenges along the way.
