Police seize estimated $1.2m worth of cannabis from Orrvale home

Shepparton police have seized an estimated $1.2 million worth of cannabis from a crophouse in Orrvale.
Officers executed a warrant at an Orrvale Rd property at 8.30am on Wednesday but no-one was home at the time.
Police said 450 plants of varying maturity were uncovered in the basement and upstairs rooms of the home.

Greater Shepparton bin collection change aims to reduce landfill

Changes to the kerbside waste service collection will start trialling next month in Tatura and Kialla.
The green FOGO bin will swap with the red general waste to weekly collection and a purple bin for glass will be added.
This will be implemented across the rest of the municipality by March 2024.

Donations help save flood-damaged Mooroopna halls

Greater Shepparton Foundation and Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project have funded the repair of two Mooroopna halls.
The Mooroopna and M.G. O’Brien halls were damaged by the 2022 floods and weren't able to receive flood recovery grants
Each organisation is contributing $11,000 to the repairs to help jumpstart the repair process.
