Poisoned eagles case heading to contested hearing

A hearing into the alleged destruction of birds on a Violet Town property could take longer than two weeks.
Dorothy Sloan, 82, is facing over 300 charges over accusations she baited and killed almost 100 birds of prey in 2019.
It's estimated there could be more than 15 witnesses called for the prosecution, including potential expert witnesses.

Local artists can answer Shepparton Festival’s Call to Create

Applications are open for pieces of work that express what Shepparton Festival is or what they think it can be.
The winning piece will form the basis of the look and feel of Shepparton Festival’s promotional material in 2024.

Beer prices continue to increase, but small brewers to escape tax hike

The price of a pint is set to skyrocket due to inflation, with a schooner of beer set to hit as high as $12.
The price is indexed twice a year with a 3.7 per cent leap this month following an increase of four per cent last year
Large pubs and breweries around Shepparton will likely be affected however, smaller breweries will be exempt.
