Too early for call on Australia Day 2024: council

This year’s Australia Day proceedings could be the last of their kind in Greater Shepparton.
Greater Shepparton City Council last year advocated for the date of Australia Day to be changed.
Council will undertake community consultation this year before deciding what January 26 would look like in the future.

Decades of volunteering for Mooroopna community recognised with OAM

Mr Davis has volunteered across 20 community organisations across six decades in Mooroopna and the region.

Man flown to hospital after geocaching fall

A man has been flown to Melbourne hospital after falling from a tree at Lake Nagambie during a geocaching expedition.
The 60-year-old fell about four or five metres from a tree on the water’s edge after climbing it to obtain a geocache.
He fell into the water obtaining lower body injuries and was treated before being flown to hospital.
