The real McCoy: Key bridge over Goulburn River closed

McCoys Bridge along the Murray Valley Hwy was last week due to flooding.
It means residents on either side of the Goulburn River have been cut off from one another.
A spokesperson for the Department of Transport said safety was the key reason behind the bridge closure.

Busiest month on record for VICSES volunteers

October 2022 was the busiest month in history for the Victoria State Emergency Service.
Volunteers responded to 13,705 requests for assistance.
It’s almost a 28 per cent increase on the previous record of 10,740 requests, set in June 2021.

Andrews issues price promise for V/Line fares

Travelling to and from the big smoke on public transport could be about to become a whole lot cheaper.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has pledged to cap V/Line ticket prices if re-elected.
The new pricing would include services to and from Echuca.
