Friday update: Revised peak and time of Murray River in Echuca Moama

- The Murray River at Echuca Wharf is now expected to peak at 95.3m (AHD) on Wednesday.
- This was posted by Campaspe Shire Council on Thursday.
- That peak is lower than earlier predicted totals of 95.9m told to the general public at Monday’s community meeting.

Dairy factories hit by floods

- Northern Victorian dairy farms and factories have been hit for a six in what should have been a profitable spring.
- Some farmers were forced to dump milk when floodwater from heavy rains upstream cut off access by milk tankers.
- “So far, we have delivered 2000 empty milk powder bags for Echuca residents to use to make sandbags.”

State government pledges $1.2 million to FoodShare’s new home

- Shepparton FoodShare has been offered a massive leg-up in its new home build.
- $1.2 million will be be spent on moving the service into a new food relief hub, after its Mooroopna factory flooded.
- Premier Daniel Andrews announced a $1 million boost on Tuesday, on top of $200,000 pledged earlier this week.
