Sandbag site changes its tune

Kerferd St in Echuca has been a hive of activity in recent days.
It has been the epicentre of Echuca’s flood preparations as the site of one of the region’s sandbagging stations.
On Wednesday, people instead gathered to listen to music and enjoy a well-earned drink and dinner.

Efforts continue to prepare Moama for flooding

Moama’s residents continued flood preparations with gusto well into Thursday.
Community spirit was at a high, as the town prepared for the Murray River’s expected peak.
Among them were Year 12 students from St Joseph’s College who sprung into action helping out with sandbagging.

Rochester unites as clean-up efforts carry on

The water through town may be receding, but there were still clear signs of the damage done to Rochester.
Water marks on the walls of houses can be clearly seen and debris from the river littered the streets.
Out the front of homes, piles of furniture, carpet and personal belongings are stacked in on the nature strip.
