The first weekend of The Wizard of Oz was a great success.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were all full house and the audiences were captivated by the local talent around Berrigan and beyond.

The Berrigan Amateur Dramatic Society looks forward to putting on the last two performances this weekend.

The Berrigan Red Cross will be holding its annual general meeting on Wednesday, August 19 at 2pm in the meeting room at the Red Cross Shop, and your help is needed.

Molly Walker's week continued on the podium at Glasgow Commonwealth Games with a bronze medal in the 800 metres.

A fantastic debut for Molly who, as we reported last week, earned a bronze in the 1500m freestyle.

The Games is Molly’s first senior international meet, and she’s one of 14 debutants in the green and gold.
