The alarm bells are already sounding for a possible title retention by Kyvalley Red in the Kyabram District Tennis Association.

Taking on Girgarre Blue, which defeated grand finalist Kyvalley Black in the opening round, Red rolled to a comfortable victory, winning all six sets.

In the other match, Undera picked up a narrow win in its first action of the season, splitting the sets but winning 37-34 on games over Girgarre White.

Kyvalley Black had the bye in round two.
