Kangaroo Island now free of feral pigs

Kangaroo Island is now officially free of feral pigs after a six-year eradication program was completed.
The project removed 878 pigs using aerial culling, detector dogs, cameras and DNA monitoring systems.
Authorities say the result will protect wildlife and serves as a model for invasive species control worldwide.
