State government slammed for ‘massive increase in homeless’

Wendy Lovell has used National Homelessness Week to highlight a “massive increase in homeless numbers” in our region.
Of the 30,605 Victorians who were homeless in 2021, 418 were in Greater Shepparton, 78 in Moira and 34 in Strathbogie.
The government has committed 25 per cent or $1.25 billion of its $5 billion Big Housing Build for regional Victoria.

RDAA: Regional Australia to benefit from prescription changes

Changes from September 1 will allow patients to get 60 days worth of medication dispensed for a single prescription.
The Coalition attempted to overturn the measures, arguing regional pharmacies would face financial pressure.
It's estimated the prescription changes will halve the cost of 320 common medicines for six million Australians.
