Voting in second First Peoples’ Assembly election closes

Voting has closed in the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria election, with counting to commence later in June.
The election will decide the members who will join the assembly for its second term.
They will also lead negotiations with the Victorian Government over a statewide treaty.

Community comes together to remember loved ones at candlelight remembrance event

Community members gathered on Wednesday, May 24 for a candlelight remembrance event organised by GV Hospice.
It was held at the lake foreshore adjacent to SAM to provide solace and support to those who had lost loved ones
Attendees lighted battery-operated candles and wrote heartfelt messages of remembrance for their departed loved ones.
