- People burn about 500 calories from a blood or plasma donation which is the equivalent of about 12 mini Easter eggs.
- Thousands of people will need blood this Easter, one donation can save up to three lives.

Return of Shepparton to Melbourne trains delayed in last-minute shock to travellers
- Construction on railway infrastructure is set to continue over the long weekend for the Shepparton and Seymour lines.
- Rail services were set to resume this weekend after trains were stopped on March 8.
- The hiatus will continue until at least Tuesday, Rail Projects Victoria confirmed on Thursday night.

Last-minute reminder to register pets
- Greater Shepparton City Council has reminded residents to register their animals by Easter Monday.
- Registrations for cats and dogs over three months of age is a legal requirement and is free if under six months of age
- The fees go towards the animal shelter, animal rangers and prosecution of dangerous dogs and animal cruelty offences.
