Abattoir footage release puts spotlight on pig welfare

Australian Pork will review confronting footage showing pigs squealing inside abattoirs before being killed.
The footage was taken through hidden cameras installed in three abattoirs this year by the Farm Transparency Project.
It shows pigs in tight spaces, gasping after allegedly exposed to carbon dioxide so they're unconscious before death.
