City council to send delegation to Hong Kong conference

Greater Shepparton City Council will be sending a delegation to an Asian fruit and vegetable conference in September.
The Asia Fruit Logistica markets focuses exclusively on the fresh produce sector and related value chain.
Council last sent a delegation over in 2019 with COVID-19 and flooding impacting the following years.

Lovell renews calls for land purchase next to Toolamba Primary School

The State Member for Northern Victoria is calling on the State Government to purchase land next to Toolamba Primary.
A local family offered the land to the school at 50 per cent of its market value but its soil is contaminated.
De-contamination is estimated at $113,000 and Mrs Lovell is calling on the Government to fund the process and purchase

Alleged hit and run at Arcadia

A woman was flown to a Melbourne hospital after an alleged hit and run at Arcadia last week.
The alleged incident involved a black Mercedes SUV and a woman who was walking on Bridge Rd on Tuesday, March 21.
The woman suffered significant injuries and was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital and a man was arrested and charged.
