Shepparton’s newest youth space opens

Greater Shepparton’s newest youth space, known as OLLY, has officially opened.
The new program offers a welcoming and non-judgmental space for young people, and is located at GOTAFE in Shepparton.
Participants have access to food, the relevant services they require and a positive social and learning space.

Shepparton: Where ‘everyone belongs’ this Harmony Day

For the 16th year, Shepparton’s Voices For Harmony is hosting its annual Harmony Day celebration next week.
This year the event will be held at the University of Melbourne in Graham St, Shepparton on Tuesday, March 21.
The speakers include Dr Zubaidah Mohamed Shaburdin, Jeanette Powell, Paul Healey and Lisa McKenzie.

Assembly prepares for final meeting of its first term

The First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria is set to hold the final meeting of its historic first term.
The assembly is the elected body representing Victoria Traditional Owners.
Since December 2019 it has been negotiating the rules and infrastructure that will enable Treaties to be negotiated.
