Aircraft on standby to fight fires from above

A fleet of firefighting aircraft are stationed at prime locations across the region ready to respond to bushfires.
The planes and helicopters are at Shepparton, Benalla, Mangalore, Mansfield, Albury and the Ovens region.
The aircrafts will be used by Forest Fire Management Victoria, CFA and Fire Rescue Victoria.

From Moama to India: Todd Murphy makes Australia’s squad for Test tour

His addition comes on the eve of a highly anticipated four-Test tour for the Aussies.

Regional train fares slashed from end of March

Victorians will be able to purchase one-way regional train fares for under $10.
The aim of this initiative is to prompt car commuters to consider alternatives to driving.
The cheaper fares will come into effect from March 31.
