Skipper allegedly caught over the alcohol limit while operating vessel

• A 41-year-old male skipper allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.054.
• He was caught during Murray River patrols operating a vessel on January 1 at 1.55pm.
• The male will appear at Moama Local Court on March 14.

Machinery and grass fire at Violet Town

• A paddock fire near Violet Town required 9 tankers and 40 CFA members to bring the fire under control.
• The grassfire had spread to a number of vehicles stored in the paddock.
• The fire took approximately 45 minutes to bring under control.

River Relief reaches $45,000

• More than $45,000 has been raised by River Relief since its launch in November.
• They've sold more than 1000 shirts and 100 stubby holders.
• Rich River Golf Club, Moama Bowling Club and Echuca Workers rallied behind the fundraiser among others.
