Hundreds on song in Mooroopna at carols night

Several hundred people turned out for the Mooroopna Carols in the Park on the John Gray Oval on Saturday, December 10.
Only a month earlier, the oval had been a lake as a result of the recent floods.
The weather smiled on the event, while local artists, choirs and school choirs kept everyone entertained.

Now is the time to prepare for fire season

There have been no announcements about when it will start in Greater Shepparton, Moira or Strathbogie municipalities.
“We encourage everyone to register burn-offs so we are not sending brigades to fires unnecessarily,” Mr Bell said.
This permit can be issued by the municipal fire prevention officer or the CFA district office.

Mooroopna’s carols in the park event is back

— carols in the park is back in Mooroopna on Saturday night.
Due to funding constraints, there will be no fireworks show this year but Mr Nappa is still confident of a great show.
Jeanette Powell and Anthony Brophy will emcee the event, which is expected to finish at 9.15pm.
